The mark below the character changes the inherent vowel sound to O or U.
The X mark below the character kills the inherent vowel sound.
If the letter is not pronounced, don’t write it.
Some names are in the list twice like Aaron. This is because of different ways to pronounce the name.
Kaylee is written if pronounced as Kay and Kai
I assumed the pronunciation of some names like Lauren would be Lo rather than Lau.
Some names were spelled with a “Filipino” pronunciation like Angelina was written Ang-He-Lina.
In many cases if a name ends in IA like Amelia, I ended it with the Ya character.
There are some names that have different spelling but the same pronunciation like Payton/Peyton and Sophia/Sofia.
The Ch sound is commonly represented with the T-Sa characters.
The J sound is represented with the Di & Ya characters.
